A sun-drenched garden evokes Mediterranean holidays

An elegant Edwardian house in Brixton opens onto a beautifully proportioned, south-facing garden. Our client, who grew up here, wanted to create a garden worthy of this exceptional site which echoed her Maltese heritage. Our response was to create an organic, textural garden filled with sun worshiping plants, shaded seating areas and a vegetable garden for her extended family to enjoy.

Blocks of bold planting are brought close to the house, maximising the views from the kitchen and dining room. A series of different sitting spaces are linked by curved paths creating a meandering route inviting you to wander. New trees provide much needed shade from the sun at midday.
